How Soaking In a Hot Bathtub May
Cut the Length of Your Next Miserable Cold or Flu in.... HALF!!!
| Dear Clients and Friends: |
|
| |
| Welcome to this issue of
Health Tips From the Cool Chiropractor!!! :) In this issue, I want to
tell you about a home therapy that my family and patients use to deal with pesky colds, sore
throats, and flu symptoms. |
|
|
Generally,
you know the exact day when you come down with something. It usually starts with a scratchy, itchy
throat, or a chill, or runny nose, or some generalized feeling of
discomfort.
The moment
you feel this, many times, the symptoms will be fifty to eighty percent (50-80%) better the next
morning if you simply follow the amazingly easy instructions I'm
about to tell you.
|
|
|
| |
| NOTE BEFORE YOU
PROCEED: |
| |
| Remember that a cold or flu is
caused by a virus. A virus is something that can be rid of through "heat" or by "running it's
course". This is why antibiotics don't work on
a viral condition. Have you ever wondered why you get a "fever" every time you have a flu? Experts
say a fever is actually a mechanism of the body to
produce heat to get rid of the virus. I have recommended
the following remedy for the past 12 years! |
| |
| Here we
go... |
|
| |
| a. Soak in a hot bathtub
for about 30 minutes. Make sure the water is as hot as you can stand it, because you would want
to really sweat. |
|
|
| b. After 30 minutes of
soaking, go right to bed and get some sleep. Your body heals best when you sleep. The next
morning you are usually 50 to 80 % better. And you may have cut a "week long" cold... down to a day
or two!!! |
|
| |
| c. Repeat the next day if
necessary. I've rarely seen a condition go longer than 3 days if you do the home
therapy the first day you notice the cold,
sore throat, or flu symptoms. |
| |
| Remember to drink plenty of water
because sweating in a hot tub can cause you to lose a lot of fluid. Now you don't want
that! |
| |
| |
|
Now let's also use a
little common sense here. If you already are burning up with fever, don't go jump into a bath tub
of hot water. This home remedy is done on the FIRST DAY THAT YOU NOTICE THE COLD, SORE THROAT, or
FLU!
|
| |
| |
| DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE IF YOU HAVE ACUTE BACK OR NECK
PAIN. For recent injuries that cause swelling or inflammation
especially in the back, it is not recommended that you soak in a hot tub. A LOT of people make this
mistake because at first the heat makes them "feel
better" while in the tub... but when they try to get up, the pain gets 2-3 times worse that they could not even get out of the
tub! |
|
| |
| I've been using this procedure
for the past 12+ years with excellent results. And you may want to try this next time you come down
with a miserable cold... or debilitating flu! |
